The Scholars Program by Laajverd Research and Design offers a unique and interdisciplinary educational experience, focusing on advanced theory and practice. Based in Islamabad, Pakistan, this 6-month course is designed to critically question conventional knowledge production, emphasizing practices rooted in local contexts. In so doing, it aims to explore diverse forms of resistance within research and representation, challenging traditional academic norms inherited from the western canon. The program is an engaging blend of workshops, guest lectures, and collaborative exercises, creating an environment for critical thinking and hands-on learning. This approach prepares participants for advanced studies and research in a variety of fields, promoting a deeper understanding of global and local issues.

Target audience: Artists, Architects, Anthropologists, Geologists, Environmentalists, Textile engineers, Designers and related disciplines to re-think their contexts beyond traditional disciplinary bounds.
